It is possible to create the same high-performing culture for teams working hybrid and remotely as for those working together in the one location.  This requires focus and education to achieve.

This course is for people working in Agile teams and who need to demonstrate team performance improvements.

Teams are now working from different and varied locations, and often are not co-located, meaning they are not physically seated together.  This can cause many different challenges in communication and collaboration, which is important to all Agile teams.

This course shows some of the tools and facilitation techniques that greatly improves team collaboration, especially when dealing with the problems of remote work.  It is suitable for anyone to take.

MODULE 1

How to get the most out of digital tools for collaboration

• How to setup and utilise digital whiteboards and collaboration tools to discuss and agree solutions, plans, requirements, and to rapidly make decisions and resolve challenges
• How to get teams using these tools as their primary platform for sharing and reduce the overhead of holding meetings

MODULE 2

Solving problems with team cohesion and collaboration

• How to identify and categorise communication, collaboration and cohesion problems
• How to solve 5 key problems with dysfunctional teams

MODULE 3

How to collaboratively agree a team's values, habits and behaviours

• How to facilitate a meaningful discussion, and get buy-in from all team members when setting these important team attributes
• How to constructively agree work arrangements in a manner that suits the team and is easy to implement

This course teaches how to improve team collaboration, coordination and culture.  While it is hard to measure performance changes resulting from improvements in these areas, it is possible to measure primary improvements via these surveys:

1. Team temp survey to measure on a scale how happy individuals are feeling about their work and about each other.

2. Team pulse survey to measure how cohesive the team feels, and how well supported they are by management and stakeholders.

3. Team health monitor survey to measure how effective the team feels towards completing their work, and working with each other.

It is also possible to measure secondary gains in team performance that can be attributed to improvements in these survey results, including:

2. Reduced Lead Time and Cycle Time.
